KKOKDAM is created by a group of young people who love flower teas with the aim to blend pure nature in a cup of flower tea. KKOKDAM is an flower tea brand that looks for ways to stay true to the original color, smell, and flavor of each flower, and makes honest flower teas closest to nature without any chemical additives. The members of the group visit local farmers themselves throughout the year. Only the flowers that have been checked in the production process are processed at the Mini Factory&Lab of KKOKDAM located in Guri, Gyeonggi-do Province. The flowers are then finally qualified to be blended as KKOKDAM’s Premium Flower Tea after numerous tastings.
KKOKDAM began to sell products in September of 2016 after being selected as a government-sponsored enterprise supervised by Korea Institute of Startup&Entrepreneurship Development in that year. The company also is going to be selected for the youth startup business support project supervised by the Small and Medium Business Administration and to be recognized as a venture business.
KKOKDAM, to solve problems of provincial farmhouses faced to job shortage due to the increasing number of people returning to the countryside and the employment problem of occupationally vulnerable people in the Metropolitan areas, gets all of organic flowers form domestic farmhouses, manufactures flower tea and allocates simple jobs to those marginalized persons while processing flowers. In his way, the company tries to solve the employment problem.
